01 · The brief

A club with twenty courts and six kinds of user, players, coaches, hitters, staff, health practitioners, and admins, runs on a scheduling problem that a spreadsheet and goodwill cannot hold. Every double booking is a member standing on a full court, and every manual fix quietly displaces somebody else.

I built PriorityCourt to encode what an experienced front desk already knows. When bookings collide, a displacement engine settles them in priority order, trying a cross-court swap first, then a shift backward, then forward, then the nearest free block, so the calendar heals itself instead of breaking somewhere nobody is looking.

05 · The journey

Spring 2026It started on a real scheduling floor, with twenty courts, six kinds of user, and a booking sheet that fell over most days.
April 2026The displacement engine landed. When two bookings collide it settles them in priority order, and I proved it against 725 tests before I trusted it.
May 2026The prototype outgrew itself, so 34,000 lines moved to Supabase behind row-level security.
June 2026It became a product. The brand, the security and data-isolation documentation, and the sales and onboarding pack all landed in the same month.
August 2026Live at prioritycourt.com, with the commercial rollout under way.
